Useful site which is pretty regularly updated. New stuff tends to go first onto the What’s New section. Has a developing E-learning section which you have to register for but is then free.
Excellent site on employment law. Subscription required.
Main site for personnel professionals. Increasing amount of free guidance materials available. The Information Resources section is very good.
Main section to look at here is the Employment Relations section. The Hot Topics section is good – when its updated which can be rather hit and miss. On the left-hand side of the main Employment Relations screen there is lots of free and good information on most of the main employment law and HR topics of the moment, e.g. work-life balance, flexible working, information and consultation, etc.
Excellent site, very clearly laid out and accessible. See particularly the Codes of Practice section.
Official site for full text of EAT judgments.
Site of the Employment Tribunal Service. Full guidance on procedure at tribunals. Employers Response form can be completed online.
The main site for anything health and safety-related. Via the Publications section you can access free fact sheets and leaflets, although the more in-depth material has to be purchased from HSE Books. Employers should go to the Business section which is packed full of useful guidance and has a special Small Business section.
Really good website. Updated regularly. You have to be an IDS subscriber to access such things as the salary surveys and the case law service but there is a fair bit of free information on the site (e.g. the editorials from IDS Brief). The Statistics section is useful and contains data on such things as average earnings, RPI, EU inflation, etc.
Bit of an unwieldy site but has a good section on data protection with guidance and fact sheets
On-line magazine of the CIPD with news and analysis of HR issues.
