Summary
- The amount of a ‘week’s pay’ (used for calculating a basic or additional award of compensation for unfair dismissal and redundancy) increases from £400 to £430.
- The limit on the amount of the compensatory award for unfair dismissal rises from £68,400 to £72,300.
- The maximum amount of a guarantee payment payable to an employee in respect of any day increases from £22.20 to £23.50.
- The minimum compensation where someone is excluded or expelled from a union and not admitted or readmitted by the date of the tribunal application increases from £7,600 to £8,100.
- The minimum basic award in cases where the dismissal was unfair by virtue of health and safety, employee representative, trade union, or occupational pension trustee reasons will increase from £5,000 to £5,300.
