NMW+ regulations published

The National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Regulations 2016 implement, from 1 April 2016, an enhanced national minimum wage (NMW) of £7.20 per hour for workers aged 25 and over and increase the maximum penalty for employers who breach NMW law.
 

Criminal records checks and minor convictions

The High Court has ruled that an aspect of the current criminal records disclosure scheme in England and Wales is ‘arbitrary’, unlawful and incompatible with article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
